The rumour about Nick being pushed by a fan and the result being the cut and bruise that he had on his eyebrow is completely false. However Nick injured himself is not our business unless he wants to explain it himeself, but I can assure NO fan did that to him. So please don't be so quick to judge us.

It takes me a lot of time and work and dedication to make my fan club (bsbspain, the spanish bsb fan club) what it is, and a stupid rumour like this can just throw away in a minute all our hard work in trying to survive though all our bad reputation simply for being Spanish.

This is the message I posted on Live Daily, I'll copy and paste:

I was going to open a thread myself to explain this, ok??? I think it's my prerogative to deny the rumour since my partner and I run the fan club and are the ones who should be doing the explaining, since WE talked to BMG this morning.

Here is what I posted a few minutes ago, which was probably lost in the sea of posts about what savages we all are in Spain:

The 'incident' that people saw was Nick getting into his van, and fans who had been standing outside for hours and hours wanted to see him, and as he didn't seem to be stopping for them, they got nervous and tried to get closer. When you've been waiting for hours in the cold, and you see your BSB coming, you approach him because every fan around the world wants the experience of a quick pic or autograph. He was pushed into the van by his bodyguard in order to leave quickly. The fans stood back, disappointed, and allowed the van to leave.

End of story. And all the Nick being attacked by fans was just some supposition that fans made up because it coincided that he came down to the van with a mark on his eyebrow, and people asssumed it was during this moment, but it was not.

I run the Spanish fan club and I'm not in a position to deny a rumour if I'm not sure. But I'm sure of this, because I contacted the Boys' record company and made sure the guy who has been with them all this time confirmed without a shadow of a doubt that Nick did this by accident.

And whoever sees him in Cologne can ask him themselves.

The pity is, there were no incidents in Barcelona, the Boys were fine, and this rumor will do nothing but add fuel to the fire. Because once a rumor is out, even when it's denied and confirmed, the bad reputation is still there.

But it's my obligation to deny a rumor that can harm our image.

And I know I have no right to ask this, but I hope people don't start now speculating how Nick could have done this to himself. As I see it, everybody trips and has a fall or walks into something, it's no big deal.

The big deal is people from my own fan club assuming something so serious, posting it on our forum and allowing it to get out of hand this way. I am seriously disgusted by that.

Thanks for reading me. And I hope people will stop calling us names now, because fans were actually very good in Barcelona, we all had a lot of fun, the event where the Boys did their presentation was full but everyone walked in calmly and took their place,. and there was nothing but love and enthusiasm for those Boys. And we hope to see them very soon in Spain, because they have nothing at all to fear.
