It's been a long time since I last updated the site. I've changed layout to go with the release of the Boys' new album, UNBREAKABLE. I miss Kevin and just like what AJ said, it sucks. But then, life goes on. Everyone still wishes him well. Back to the topic, it's a great album and I have several favorites already but one stuck in mind: Trouble Is =)So, for now, this is the only change I will have. Unlike 2005's uneven "comeback" album "Never Gone," its follow-up finds the Boys dipping into their old bag of classic pop songs. They are a boy band with spot-on harmonies: They sing huge, hooky choruses; belt out sappy bridges ("I'm a house of cards in a hurricane," the group wails on "Helpless When She Smiles"); and bop and groove to slickly produced dance numbers. Nearly everything here is top 40 or AC radio-ready, particularly the piano-driven first single, "Inconsolable," and the Beatles-y "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon." Nick's Journal | IM TURNING JAPANESEOctober 25, 2007 I'm turning JAPANESE I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so. So we're over in beautiful Tokyo doing promo. And I just woke up and ordered breakfast. Not the typical breakfast that we're used to over in the states. It's awesome. Japanese breakfast. Grilled salmon, rice, Miso soup. They got these crazy little scrambled eggs that look like sushi. Guess you have to be here to understand. Anyways, I love it over here. The sushi. The people are sooo cool. The style is too. But I'm looking forward to going to NY to release the album. I sure hope some peeps will come out to see us. Anyways, I'm sooooo freakin excited to get this promo done so that we can start to prepare for our world tour. It's gonna be amazing. All I can say is, it's gonna blow away the Never Gone tour. I just turned on CNN. And I am so shocked and saddened. I wanna send some love, support and prayers to all the people on the west coast that have been affected from this tragedy. You are def in our hearts. Anyways, I gotta to run. I got press to do. Love ya. |

BACKSTREET BOYS star NICK CARTER is confident he has learned from his past mistakes - and is keen to rid himself of his bad boy image. The singer hit the headlines after being charged with two counts of DUI in California in 2005 and was ordered to complete a rehabilitation program. But the 27-year-old insists he is a changed man after his brushes with the law. He says, "I've never tried to be a bad boy - it's just something that happened. I got caught in situations like everyone does in their life. "Either you learn from these things - or you're an idiot. Bad s**t happens. But if you've been watching me closely, I'm not being bad anymore."

| As I sit here eating a slice of pizza, thinkin' to myself, "Is this gonna get me fat again?" I remember that I have to do my thank yous. Again, normally I'm the one who's writing all these crazy things for you to decode and figure out, but this time i'm gonna keep it simple and give thanks where it's due. First, all the boys. This has been a great ride. I still can't believe we're still around after all these years. I love you guys. Next, the fans - if you brought this record then you are truly a fan. We love you so much. Thank you for being a BSB fan. In this time and place for music, it means so much more to be a BSB fan. So screw the rest. You're the best. U.S boy-band BACKSTREET BOYS have offered their support in helping British newcomers THE HOOSIERS crack the lucrative American market. The popular boy band made the pledge after meeting the rockers at a gig in London last Thursday (18Oct07). According to British newspaper The Daily Star, AJ MCLean told the Hoosiers, "You guys are going to be huge in America..we'll do anything we can to help."

The Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter lost nearly 20 kilograms to get in shape for the release of the American boy band's latest album, Unbreakable, and upcoming world tour. "I was really unhealthy on the last tour,'' Carter told Insider. "I was really fat and disgusting. I never want to get to that again. The 27-year-old weighed around 100kg at his heaviest and said it had taken him six months to get trim. He's didn't go on any special diets and simply ate healthier food and worked out at the gym. Backstreet Boys hope to restore fading fortunes Billboard magazine caught up with the Backstreet Boys ahead of the October 30th release of 'Unbreakable' , where AJ McLean remains hopeful that departed member Kevin Richardson will return to the veteran boy band. "I really think he's going miss it. I really do," AJ said. "Some of the guys you could ask and they'd probably tell you the total opposite. Me, I really believe he may come back." As for the group's reduced profile from their heyday in the late '90s, Nick Carter insisted that's not such a bad thing. "We don't have these huge, massive releases anymore," Carter said. It's been ten years since "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) hit U.S. airwaves, and the faces of a new generation of heartthrobs took over MTV. The music scene changed with the Backstreet Boys leading a pack of "boy bands" into the new millennium. Once again, music has evolved, and album sales continue to decrease. Boy bands are no more, but hip-hop, punk, and country are strong in the game. The only remnants of that past wave of pop is laced over with heavy dance/R&B/Hip-Hop via Justin Timberlake, and Mission: Man Band, a failing reality series of mix-matched has-beens called Sure Shot, is a sure flop.

I had a chance last week to partake in a Backstreet Boys teleconference promoting their new album “Unbreakable,” proving once and for all that there is a God, and he does listen to my karaoke performances. They’ve sold 75 million albums since they squinted and heart tapped their way onto the U.S. pop charts with 1996’s uniquely titled “Backstreet Boys,” and while many of us would have cashed in this winning lottery ticket and retired, the boys don’t want it that way. Nick's Journal, October 2007 | 10.1.2007It's been a crazy week for me lately. I have been recuperating from my crazy show on sat. It was amazing. So many people showed up. I was so happy. Sunday was awesome because my bucs won again. i know. im in shock too. So I’ve been basically just resting monday thru friday preparing for the big rehearsals that start tommorow. Im a little tired from getting up so early today. Howie and i flew into phoenix for a radio show. We went on air with Johnjay and rich and carrie on kzzp. It was so much fun . Those guys are amazing. and we love them for playing our record. So now howie is lying next to me in the airport. Sleeping like he always does. What’s with this guy? HA HA . Im tired too. but i don't wanna mess up my sleeping schedule. We're gonna meet our new choreographer today. and also see our new band. yaaaaayyyy!!!!! The Japanese version of 'Unbreakable' will include three bonus tracks. 15. Downpour 16. In Pieces 17. Nowhere To Go (House OF Carter's THEME). If you buy 'Unbreakable' at Wal-Mart you'll get a bonus track as well. 'There's Us'. Meanwhile on the German Inconsolable CD single there's another new track 'Close My Eyes'. Inconsolable CD single will be released October 9th in Germany and 30th as the OFFICIAL release.
