Backstreet Boys - All Five Of Them - Reunite Onstage In LA

For the first time since leaving the group in 2006, former Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson joined the rest of the group onstage in Los Angeles Sunday night, on the last stop of their Unbreakable tour at the Palladium in Hollywood.

In a fan-made video that's surfaced online, the audience erupts into deafening screams when Richardson emerges onstage to join the group for "Shape of My Heart," from the group's Black and Blue album. He's seen goofing around with his former bandmates, and at one point even lifts Nick Carter's shirt. The five are very chummy in the clip and seem to be feeding off of the audience's energy; the screams render the first minute of the song completely inaudible in the clip.

Here is some stuff that was talked about during the AJ Mclean Chat last Sunday, November 23

- He and Nick BOTH have the flu. Nick is still feeling crappy but is okay.
- Probably won't be doing any smooching on the fans tonight ((during the "Lollipop Segment of the show)) so they won't pass on germs.
- His fav color is black.
- Fav food is still McDonald's though its changing to Cobb Salads w/ Ranch Dressing.
- He loves ranch dressing.
- He wears girls pants mostly now. In a size 5.
- His favorite Starbucks drink is White Chocolate Frappaccino...he loves white anything white chocolate.
- He's not really a Starbucks guy...he's a Coffe Bean fan.
- If he was on a deserted island and could only have on thing, it'd either be his mom or the new bond girl Olga.
- What he wants from Santa is Season 4 of LOST ((HUGE FAN))...and to be home w/ his family for the holidays. ((which he will be))
- Looking forward to his mom's Candied Yams
- He and his family will probably be having Turduckin instead of a turkey. (a TURDUCKIN is basically a turkey w/ a duck in its butt...LoL.. and inside the duck a chicken.. or in some order.. he said BUTT alot though.)
- He was mistakin for Sayeed from LOST by a drunk guy the other day.
- if he were getting married tomorrow with no preperation, his wedding song would be Lucy Lu's theme song from KILL BILL.
- and he's satisfied w/ his two dogs..no plans for another.
- His ex chef friend keeps his dogs while he's on tour
- He plans on seeing BOLT before going to see TWILIGHT...
- the Boys would LOVE to do a Christmas album, but have yet to find the time. If they do, they'd do traditional and origional music.
- Yes, he'll be doing a solo tour.
- His solo album will be released in January/February overseas and the summer in the States.
- Oh, one more. He hates when people don't cover their mouthes when they sneeze. Apparently he gets sneezed on alot.

Nick Cancels Show Due To Sickness

Just wanted to inform all the BSB fans out there that I have spoken to Nick and my family and my brother was in the airport on his way to a show a starting getting a high fever and unfortunatly had to spend the day in the hospital instead of making the show, hes really sorry to dissapoint all of his fans and not be able to make up the show but as far as we know its nothing serious he is okay.

I appreciate all of the fans keeping in touch and wanting to know whats up? Nicks not very good at writing blogs on a regular basis so Im doing it for him. I know how hard Nick works and he usually performs even when hes a bit sick so if he cant make a concert never ever assume or believe any rumors of him being neglectful to his band and fans. He loves you all!

PHOENIX AZ UPDATE

Unfortunately we are going to have to cancel the show tonight in Phoenix, AZ. Nick has a terrible fever of 103 and the doctor strongely advised Nick not to fly or perform tonight. We are all hoping that with rest Nick will be back and ready to kill it in Vegas and LA for all of you.

Nick Carter is the most visible face of the Backstreet Boys, the vocal group that sold more than 75 million albums in its chart-topping '90s heyday.

Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean reunited a second time in 2007 to release their fifth studio album, Unbreakable. The group, which no longer includes Kevin Richardson, has toured extensively since and stops Friday in Phoenix.

I tend to write in the weirdest places huh. I'm in a bunk on our bus. Were heading to Grand Prairie Canada. I'm a little beat, because we've been on tour for almost a year now. It's getting a little chilly outside and we are all trying to stay away from the cold bug. lol It's been amazing to see how many people still believe in what we do. There's been so much support its awesome. It feels like we've been doing our own crazy campaign like Obama for almost a year, going around reminding people that we still are here.( Speaking of him.) seeing him win makes me feel that there is still good left in this world. I'm very happy. It also makes me think that with hard work, dedication and belief, anything can happen. And the same goes for us, as a group and as an individual . Yes we can change. And that is exactly what we are setting course to do. We are going to change alot, The way our past records have sounded. The way were perceived . And just our message overall . I thank all of you in your strength too. You are some tough cookies. Its not that COOL to be a BSB or Nick Carter fan at times. But i promise you this. Were working to CHANGE all that. You know? With mistakes comes lessons. With lessons comes learning. And with learning comes teaching. I'd rather be the solution then the problem. I'd rather be a teacher of good than the teacher of bad. It's been a long tough road for us at times, ( Even AMERICA) But i believe what defines a true champion is endurance. When you fall , pick yourself off the ground and at the least , FINISH THE RACE. You've heard this " Its not how you start , it's how you finish". That's what we believe so should you. I'm very excited about everything we are about to do. Thank you for your love and let the revolution begin again. To all our BSB soldiers. Spread the word. Peace

Now that that's over -- hey! Guess what? Multi-platinum (and famously manufactured) pop outfit The Backstreet Boys came back to the MTS Centre last night for, like, the first time since 2005.

This time, they're down a Boy ("quiet one" Kevin Richardson bowed out in 2006) and confronting the harsh truth that nobody cares about their new music. Their latest, 2007's Unbreakable, slid off the charts after two weeks.

But nostalgia is a thriving industry. Women of the Backstreet era (now in their mid-20s) still gladly open their wallets to see the Boys dance and croon their chest-thumpingly earnest ballads live.
