....I was doing ministry part-time and working full-time on something else and honestly, I ended up working at a fibre-glass plant. I worked 12-hour shifts pushing a broom and banging my head on things, which I still probably have repercussions from. It was a mindless job, but on the side, I had something that I had a passion for, helping people's lives spiritually and in terms of the whole person.
I went back to teaching high school students and got involved with special-needs and at-risk kids. So that's what I ended up doing and my career shifted field-wise from phys. ed. to dealing with troubled teens in outreach programs. That was great and I loved doing that. I worked in Airdrie for a year with high-needs kids. It was the most fun I've ever had teaching. We had a little girl who had Down's syndrome. In the mornings, I would sit down and try to teach her how to count or identify a penny and in the afternoon, I'd have to re-teach her how to identify a penny. Yet, that girl could go down the hallway and sing a whole song by the Backstreet Boys. Her memory was perfect for that but she couldn't remember the difference between a penny and a dime. It was amazing. I had a guy who collected keys and he was a bit autistic.....

+ Hi guys, Were still alive! wooh! We've been both (Melissa and I) busy with our work and some stuff lately, there's not much news so its fair. Updates coming in tonight, I have a lot of things to update on this site. But the only thing that I wouldn't do is to update the pic of our guy (Nick) and his girl(julie). That's not fair to Nick, We don't want to see him having another bulletin saying "detective thingy's" right? hehehe and plus, spare him some of his privacy stuff. This site is in NO way supporting that crap. We give Nick his lil respect that he wants. Right Nicky? Anyway, the House of Carter's still previewing in the said channel so to all my fellow FILIPINO fans out there keep your eye on it and lemme know. ok?
+ What else? that Nick as Danielle Smith rumor was soooo funny! I mean who would think that Nick resembles a lot to Daniele? duh! I mean hahahahaha...Anyways I'll let you guys off. + For those who are asking when this series be aired?...it's not actually airing yet but keep on watching ETC for more info, There are a lot of shows that they have to finish before fitting in the HOC. And I'm sure they'll promote the series before airing it. Right now, all I can see is lots of HOC commercials together with the new shows, Be patient guys and the more we want to watch it the more ETC is delighted because we are tuning in to their station almost everyday. haha..nice move ETC!

Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter has found celebrity love again in the shape of Hilary Duff's sister Haylie.
The couple was spotted "making out" at Los Angeles club Les Deux last week, fuelling speculation of a romance.
A fellow clubber, who saw the public display of affection, says, "Nick was caressing her back and whispering in her ear. Later, he started making out with her."

Nick Carter purchases Los Angeles home

Nick Carter of The Backstreet Boys has purchased a home in west Los Angeles for $1.2 million. This Mediterranean-style home offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a very spacious master suite, two-car garage and a subtropical garden in the rear.

And finally (and this may be more of a joke than anything), Ashton and Demi, watch your backs. There’s a new duo in town. Kathy Griffin and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter were seen sharing a candlelit meal in Hollywood last week, and while no necking or heavy petting was reported, hand holding was definitely spotted.

Now whether the two were meeting about a business proposition (and you can let your minds wander) or something romantic remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure… if the two indeed become a couple, I think Nick will likely be the only man on earth who’s ****ed both Paris Hilton and Kathy Griffin in one lifetime.
