Us Weekly: Nick Carter Speaks Up about Mom's Arrest
Backstreet Boy Nick Carter has opened up to Usmagazine.com about his mother’s arrest on Thursday.
“I love my mother and offer her my full support in these unfortunate circumstances,” Carter tells Us.
Jane Carter was booked after she failed to appear in a Florida court for a hearing about her divorce from John Holcomb, according to TMZ.com.
Among the accusations, Jane is accused of trashing their former residence.
An order was issued for her arrest after she skipped the hearing. She was arrested at a ceremony in Sumter County, FL, where she was working for a construction company.
Nick and his brother Aaron cut Jane – their former manager out of their lives in 2005, claiming she was more concerned with money then being a mom.
“I think, mainly what we’re saying now, is that we were starved for that attention, of a motherly figure,” Carter told 20/20.
But a source close to Nick - who is now based in Nashville, Tennessee, tells Us the singer is now on speaking terms with Jane.
“He’s been mending his relationship with his mom for quite some time and that he is in such a healthy, productive place in his life, looking better than ever,” the insider tells Us. “He’s focused on the current Backstreet Boys tour and in studio writing with hit-makers including Desmond Child and Jeffrey Steele for both Backstreet Boys and his solo project.

Howie has Close Ties to Fans
The Backstreet Boys still have fun on stage - also after 15 years. Especially Howie Dorough is
excited to meet his fans on every concert. FIRSTNEWS has interviewed him. Howie described that
there's a strong bond between him and the fans:"Some have grown up with us. It's very exciting
to see fans who are with us from the first day on. Some of them have their own families. But
there are also new faces. That's very cool. Our concerts have developed to something like a
family event. Many fans who were 20 in the beginning of BSB are now 30 and they take their
own childs with them to the concert. And their childs love also our music."

Kim Martin's Blog: My Life is like a vacation Literally...
I just recently got back from Nashville, TN where I hung out with my favorite backstreet boy, Nick. :) I had the greatest time of my life and I realized how "out of reality" my life really is. Sure, it's great- I get to travel constantly, I live in a city that never sleeps, and I always have nice things. Well, Nashville is amazing. It's absolutely gorgeous and it's a REAL life and I could completely see myself living there. The people are so nice, it's so green, and I'm sure being there with Nick made things a little bit better as well.
Anyway, this week I will actually be home! But not for long... I leave for North Carolina for my grandpa's 80th birthday Sunday and I will be going from North Carolina straight to New York. I will be gone from August 3-15th... I'm excited to see my family and hang out with them as well. Then I will be meeting the Backstreet Boys on tour for a bit on the East coast immediately after... and THANK GOD they are done touring after the first week of September and then Nick and I are going on a road trip together... He wants to see a ghost town and I want to go sailing... so we are going to do all of the above! :) Should be fun.

Backstreet Boys At Work On New Album, Solo Discs
Backstreet Boys Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean are continuing to work on their first solo
projects even as the group has started work on its sixth studio album.
Dorough tells Billboard.com that "A.J.'s about done" with his album, while Dorough is
"probably close to halfway there." He's been working with Jon Secada and George Noriega
(Ricky Martin, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez) on an album Dorough says will explore the Latin
roots of his mother's family, which hails from Puerto Rico.

Country singer Kellie Pickler and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter recently found themselves on
the receiving end of a tantrum from a hulking 250 pound drag queen.
The singers were hanging out at the Nashville gay hotspot Play Dance Bar in early July
when a member of their entourage spilled a pitcher of Long Island Iced Tea just as a
female impersonator named Dasani Waters was getting ready to take the stage. It was an
honest mistake, but their timing was terrible, an insider source said. As their friend
struggled to clean up the mess, Kellie and Nick started giggling. Dasani took it very
personally. Even though they weren't laughing at her, she felt they were being disrespectful.
How dare you? Who do you straight bitches think you are? She snarled. They were both
stunned speechless and probabably a little afraid.
According to the source, Dasani tore into Kellie and Nick about their lack of manners.
Said the source, it was just ugly.
The evening ruined, Kelly, Nick and their pals packed up their stuff and left the club.
The managers didn't appreciate Dasani chasing off customers especially famous ones,
added the source. They fired her the next day.

At the Ghost ultra-lounge two boy-band heroes Donnie Wahlberg from New Kids on the Block
and AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys partied there on separate nights. AJ proudly pointed
out that he's been six-years sober without any drugs or alcohol and he stuck to a
non-alcoholic beverage. Donnie enjoyed 20 Grey Goose cranberry cocktails with an
anonymous female friend.

Saw KEVIN RICHARDSON from the Backstreet Boys at Lucky Devils on Hollywood Blvd on
Friday night with three blonds and another guy. While eating, AJ from BSB spotted
him from the street and came in to say hello. What are the odds? Kevin looked the
exact same, AJ was much more bearded than I remember.

It's been a busy Thursday morning for the Backstreet Boys fans in the Philippines as we battle on who was
better in the 'boyband' world. Just for fun, the BSB fans voted full blast for our favorite Boys. DJ Kelly's
Multiply was flooded with posts.
At the end of the morning, Kelly announced that the Backstreet Boys won by a large margin: 352 versus
N'Sync at 112 votes only. Way to go, girls!

Well looks like you fine readers were correct.
After a couple of Nick Carter Seen in the City sightings, several of you wrote to say Nick is
making a solo album in Nashville.
And Nick’s Nashville-based attorney, Jordan Keller, says you are correct!
Nick isn’t leaving the Backstreet Boys – they’re all going on a North America tour in a couple of weeks
— but Nick is making a solo pop album. He has been working some with Desmond Child, who did lots o’
writing and producing for Ricky Martin. Desmond has a place in Nashville and spends quite a bit of time here.
Nick’s next Nashville appearance — Sunday night at the FUSE nightclub opening at Gaylord Opryland Resort.
