Billboard News: BSB's new Single!
07.26.07 "After an extended break and the loss of original member Kevin Richardson, the Backstreet Boys will return Oct. 30 with their next, as-yet-untitled studio album for Jive Records. The first single, the piano-heavy rock ballad "Inconsolable" will hit U.S. radio outlets Aug. 27. Richardson, who exited in June 2006, was not replaced in Backstreet Boys, which also features Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean. The group is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Jive this year. The new album is the follow-up to 2005's "Never Gone," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 747,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Among the collaborators are producers Rob Weiss and Dan Muckula. While taking time away from Backstreet Boys, Littrell found success in the Christian music world with the 2006 album "Welcome Home" (Reunion). The project reached No. 3 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart." [Billboard.Com] ------ Backstreet's Back Alright! 07.25.07 After a two-year layoff and the departure of Kevin Richardson, the all-grown-up Backstreet Boys are readying the release of their sixth studio album for Oct. 30. The yet-to-be-titled disc will be issued by Jive Records and marks the Backstreeters' 10th anniversary with the label that launched them to superstardom. Rob Weiss and Dan Muckula, the latter of whom penned Backstreet's 2005 hit "Incomplete," are supervising production on the new album, per Billboard. The first official single, a piano-driven rock ballad titled "Inconsolable," will be shipped to radio stations nationwide on Aug. 27. A more upbeat ditty, "Any Other Way," was leaked to music sites back in May. Following the release of a greatest-hits set in 2001, the members pursued side projects before returning to the charts with 2005's Never Gone. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number three and sold about 750,000 copies in the U.S. and 3 million worldwide. That was a far cry from the quintet's heyday, when 1999's Millennium sold 30 million copies and 2000's Black and Blue racked up 15 million units. Richardson, who at 35 was the band's oldest member, announced in June 2006 that he was amicably leaving the group to pursue other interests. Richardson and wife Kristin welcomed their first child, a son named Mason, earlier this month. He has also performed on Broadway and is composing the soundtrack to the CGI animated film The Spirit Bear due out next year. The rest of Backstreet—Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and AJ McLean—opted not to replace him and have continued on as a quartet. They say Richardson can come back at any time. The Backstreet Boys were formed in the early '90s in Orlando under the auspices of former producer Lou Pearlman, who was recently indicted in bank-fraud charges. After hitting it big in Europe, the group found success Stateside with its 1997 self-titled debut. The Backstreeters went on to score a number of Top 10 hits, including "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)," "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "All I Have to Give," "I Want It That Way" and "Shape of My Heart," and competed with 'N Sync for the title of most popular boy band. This Backstreet Boy is back all right! After tipping the scale at 224 pounds seven months ago, Nick Carter, 27, decided it was time to get in shape. “I’d become depressed,” he tells Us. “Something deep down inside of me said, I’m tired of being this person, and I’m a good-looking guy!” Nick lost 44 pounds? He looks great but not healthy though, he looks anorexic to me. Nick exaggerated diet? I'm used to staring at his baby fats and now its all gone. But if he's happy with it then I am happy. =) Source: US Weekly |

[Click thumbnail to View] It says: I met Backstreet Boys at their studio in LA. I met Brian Littrell on June 5th, Nick and Howie on 6th. AJ didn't come to studio, coz he had a sore throat and not good condition. Their recording studio is 3,4 blocks away from Hollywood & Highland. Brian welcomed me with his big smile, but he was little nervous. Coz he will go to Nashville next morning so he was recording Impatiently. Finding good songs is the first step for making new album. But sometime artists scramble for good songs. Their 2 songs overlap other artists. The songs are "HWSS" and "HNA". BSB can't use both songs as new album. Brian got angry about it "We wasted our time. we recorded them very well..." Next day, I met Nick and Howie and they welcomed me. Howie said "I'll go to Japan in July and I have plan for collaboration with Japanese artist. But it's not decided yet." - The Japanese artist is so popular but I can't say who is the artist now. After interview, Nick recorded "Inconsolable". but he sang parody "I don't want to **** it anymore...". Everyone burst out laughing, then he looks so fun. After finished recording, they will choose only good songs for new album. New album will be released end of Oct or early of Nov. Nick had long interview. He said about HOC, Year of the Dolphin and new album. He said "New album is 2007's Backstreet boys" Thanks Crazy4_bsb_bone @ LD |

Nick Carter has gained a cause — and shed 30 pounds! Over the past few months, the singer has been getting in shape for two new gigs. He's promoting the first Backstreet Boys album in two years and he's working with the United Nations after being named a Special Ambassador in May. "People like Bono have inspired me to put my celebrity to use," Nick, 27, says. "It's an actual job. There are commitments that I must keep in order to be the voice of dolphins and conservationist issues." Thanks Nimue of LD |

| Happily Never After on Nicole's solo CD? 07.02.07 | 7:30 PM | Posted by: Mau |

Here's what they say about it: 6. “Happily Never After” Written by Ne-Yo A ballad about leaving your lover. “I don’t think I want this anymore as she drops the ring down to the floor,” Nicole sings. Ne-Yo does what he does best by telling a story through the song. Sample lyrics: “No happily never after, that just ain’t for me, I know I deserve better after all, I’ll never let another tear drop fall.” Fans will be pulling out their lighters/cell phones when this song is played at a concert. Stop the rumors about Kevin's baby! Give the guy and his family a bit of privacy and stop spreading rumos like you know what's up! puhleeeze!
A Blog from Kevin's MySpace - Please read up! Thank you for all the love and well wishes. It is not my intention to use this myspace page to talk about my personal life. I want to use it to keep you informed of my professional decisions. When I do interviews for print or T.V., if I am asked about my personal life, I normally speak freely. However, I haven't done an interview in a very long time. I believe there is a fine line to walk when it comes to letting the press into my personal life. Sometimes it can blow up in your face. In my interviews for "Chicago" in Japan, all of the questions were about my professional life. It was very early in our pregnancy when complications can arise, and I did not want to offer up any news yet. Some time after that Brian shared the good news in an interview which was fine. I didn't want to issue a press release about it, because I don't want to use my personal life for publicity. As you all know from my interviews in Toronto, I made it clear that we were trying for a child and obviously I was very excited about it. We were successful. However, he hasn't hatched yet. His name is not Jared, although I am sure if it was, Jared at WC Management would be honored. Since the rumor mill has been working overtime, I will let you all know when he arrives and what his name is, O.K. Thank you for your understanding. Peace and love, Kevin |
