Message from the Littrell Family

On Saturday December 20, 2008, Baylee T W Littrell was released from Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Atlanta.

Before being admitted Baylee had been treated for or thought to have had strep throat, hand, foot, mouth disease and erythema multiforme. After receiving a biopsy, blood tests, an EKG and 2 echocardiograms, Baylee was finally diagnosed with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease. We would like to stress A-Typical because Baylee did not have text book symptoms of any of the viruses they thought he had.

Kawasaki Disease causes inflammation in the coronary arteries as well as the walls of the small and medium sized arteries throughout the body. Unfortunately, Baylee's coronary arteries were affected. He received an IVIG, which is a treatment to bring down the inflammation in his coronary arteries. Baylee will be closely monitored for the next 6-8 weeks by a Pediatric Cardiologist to see if the treatment was effective.

We want to thank every one who prayed for us as well as all of the emails and phone calls. Your love and support means so much to our family. The Hospital Staff were absolutely amazing. They made an extremely difficult time in our lives as comfortable as possible.

We are humbled by the love and compassion that people have for our son all over the world, thank you!

The Littrell Family

For those of you who do not know or have not heard, Baylee Litrell has been in the hospital for the past few days. He will be starting a treatment this afternoon and the Littrell family asks that all Backstreet Boys fans please remember him in prayer during this trying time. Every little prayer helps and every single prayer counts! Brian and Leighanne would also like to wish you all Happy Holidays and to thank for your thoughts and prayers....

24: Do you ever try to put a number on how many times you've faced the cameras and microphones in interviews?

NC: We lost count a long time ago. We could guess, but I really don't even know where to start.

AJ: It's a lot ... I mean whether it's between print interviews or TV, photo shoots, radio interviews ... thousands!

NC: I try to think of how many planes we've been on before and how many miles we've flown. It's crazy, really - we've been blessed.

24: How savvy have you gotten in interviews over the years? Do you ever look back and think, "Why the hell did I say that?"

NC: Oh yeah ... why the hell did I wear that? I mean, that happens ... that goes through our minds all the time, but that's the evolution and I think if you pay attention to yourself and watch yourself, you can learn something from yourself from the past and make it better in the future.

24: Canada was one of the early believers in the Backstreet Boys. Why do you think Canada got onboard before other nations did?

....Saturday night TAO Las Vegas saw Backstreet Boy Nick Carter playing host to his younger siblings, pop singer Aaron Carter and twin sister Angel, as they celebrated their 21st birthdays. Nick arranged a trip for them to Las Vegas and coordinated a dinner at TAO Asian Bistro for 15 close friends of the family.

The group dined inside TAO's private dining room and chose sushi, chicken satay and sea bass among several other dishes. After dinner the group hit the nightclub where they held court in a VIP skybox. Nick surprised the Aaron and Angel with a birthday cake, which was delivered amid a flurry of sparklers. The party roared with laugher when Angel covered Aaron's face with the birthday cake...

For the first time since leaving the group in 2006, former Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson joined the rest of the group onstage in Los Angeles Sunday night, on the last stop of their Unbreakable tour at the Palladium in Hollywood.

In a fan-made video that's surfaced online, the audience erupts into deafening screams when Richardson emerges onstage to join the group for "Shape of My Heart," from the group's Black and Blue album. He's seen goofing around with his former bandmates, and at one point even lifts Nick Carter's shirt. The five are very chummy in the clip and seem to be feeding off of the audience's energy; the screams render the first minute of the song completely inaudible in the clip.

- Probably won't be doing any smooching on the fans tonight ((during the "Lollipop Segment of the show)) so they won't pass on germs.
- His fav color is black.
- Fav food is still McDonald's though its changing to Cobb Salads w/ Ranch Dressing.
- He loves ranch dressing.
- He wears girls pants mostly now. In a size 5.
- His favorite Starbucks drink is White Chocolate Frappaccino...he loves white anything white chocolate.
- He's not really a Starbucks guy...he's a Coffe Bean fan.
- If he was on a deserted island and could only have on thing, it'd either be his mom or the new bond girl Olga.
- What he wants from Santa is Season 4 of LOST ((HUGE FAN))...and to be home w/ his family for the holidays. ((which he will be))
- Looking forward to his mom's Candied Yams
- He and his family will probably be having Turduckin instead of a turkey. (a TURDUCKIN is basically a turkey w/ a duck in its butt...LoL.. and inside the duck a chicken.. or in some order.. he said BUTT alot though.)
- He was mistakin for Sayeed from LOST by a drunk guy the other day.
- if he were getting married tomorrow with no preperation, his wedding song would be Lucy Lu's theme song from KILL BILL.
- and he's satisfied w/ his two dogs..no plans for another.
- His ex chef friend keeps his dogs while he's on tour
- He plans on seeing BOLT before going to see TWILIGHT...
- the Boys would LOVE to do a Christmas album, but have yet to find the time. If they do, they'd do traditional and origional music.
- Yes, he'll be doing a solo tour.
- His solo album will be released in January/February overseas and the summer in the States.
- Oh, one more. He hates when people don't cover their mouthes when they sneeze. Apparently he gets sneezed on alot.
