Ashley: Now, after speaking to Christy, and deleting about 100 threads posted on this board... her and Nick are NOT and were NOT dating. The latest "STAR" issue is false, and the writer of the article is being sued along with losing his column! Everything was sparked when Christy hugged Nick at an airport and a freelance photographer snapped a shot of them
Christy: Tabloids are not allowed to make up fake interviews....however, that doesn't keep them from doing it. Sometimes writers will write whatever they want to (or have to) in order to make a story better.
One thing you may not know is that the writer of that article, Jose Lambiet is losing his column for doing just that with the "exclusive interview," (which by the way, was NOT an interview at all). In fact, I NEVER even spoke to the man. Now he will be sued. SO...
For the record, I will post this once and one time only.....
NICK AND I are NOT dating. We are just friends. End of story.

Cancer Strikes Carter Family

It has been a month from hell for the Carter family. On top of the divorce and the difficult times the family has been going through, accorrding to Angel Carter's official website, Barbara Carter, mother of Bob Carter and grandmother of Nick Carter, was diagnosed with cancer last Thursday.

Nick is recording these days in Los Angeles, and not in New York since it mentioned recently MTV. The plans he brings over of his appearance in "Brew" even they are not completely clear and his agenda will not be defined until September. It will be at the time when we prune to know most of this and of his close commitments.
For the present time the only close event and confirmee is that of the 23rd in Atlantic City, New Jersey. From this one, we will confirming together with his management more details on future projects.

When [Melissa] and I met, on the set of our commercial, she was very quiet, but she had a sense of warmth about her that made you feel instantly comfortable. Backstreet Boys Sensation Nick Carter has been rocked by a family crisis

In an exclusive interview, the 23-year-old pop star reveals his parents, Bob and Jane Carter have split.
At the center of the breakup are disagreements the couple have over the blossoming recording career of Nick's 15-year-old brother, Aaron.
"My mother and father are going through some trouble right now and it's hurting the family," said a deeply saddened Nick. "I mean, it tearing up my little brother. Aaron's going through a real bad time."
Just weeks ago, Jane removed truckloads of possessions from the five-home multimillion dollar Carter family compound in Marathon Key, Fla. They were taken to her new home in Parkland, Fla., where she has moved with Aaron, whose four hit albums have critics calling him the "little prince of pop."
During the move, Jane said that Bob got physical and he landed in jail August 7.
"Bob hit the roof when he saw Jane had packed up several of Aaron's gold records that belonged to him," said a source close to the family.
According to a sherriff's report, Bob began throwing boxes out of the moving trucks, and ordered the movers off his property. He then followed Jane into a compound guesthouse where she'd locked herself in a bedroom as she attempted to call a friend.
"He crashed the door in," Jane said in her statement to police. "Then I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. He then crashed the door in to that room and I tried to hide in the shower. He then shoved me and I fell into the shower hitting the back of my head."
Bob was charged with battery and jailed for a day before he made bail.
"The family's coming apart," Aaron's twin sister Angel told the Enquirer, maintaining her father "only beat up the door," not her mother. The aspiring model said she wants her father to get a divorce rather than reconcile with her mom.
Jane's now pushing to have the Marathon homes put up for sale, said the close family source. And she's keeping Aaron isolated from Nick and their sisters: Angel, Leslie, 17 and Bobbie Jean, 21.
"I can't even get Aaron on the phone. My mom won't let me talk to him," said Angel.
Nick told the Enquirer there are "several issues" that caused his parents to break up. But his mother's decision to bring in a 65-year-old entertainment manager Eliot Weisman to guide Aaron's career caused his dad to blow a gasket.
Weisman, who runs Premier Artists Services, has counted Frank Sinatra, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Liza Minnelli, Don Rickles and Ben Vereen among his clients.
"Those stars are from another generation," said the close family source. "Bob, who had been managing Aaron with Jane, feels Weisman knows nothing about the way to handle a young pop star and will make bad decisions."
Through a representative, Weisman said he "doesn't talk to the press about my client."
Jane Carter also refused comment.
Nick, who is recording his second solo album since the "Backstreet Boys" disbanded, said Weisman first approached him about representation.
"I didn't want him, but he met Aaron and my mom because of me," said Nick. "There are things I don't approve of that she's doing."
Nick also confirmed the his mom and Aaron moved into Weisman's home for a time before she bought her new place. Nick called that a "weird situation."

While 33-year-old Christy Lane was denying any romantic ties to Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter at first, she's apparently opened up to Star magazine. "At least Nick is going out with a real woman, not a little girl," the divorced mother with a 7-year-old daughter argued in regards to their 10 year age difference. Lane added, "I love him, and I'm hoping we'll end up together for good. I may be 10 years older than him, but I'm young at heart. We're very similar. We joke a lot. He loves kids." Asked if she minds that Carter appears to have gained 50 pounds from his Backstreet days, the slim Lane insisted, "Not at all. I just love him."

UpcomingHorrorMovies.com has the scoop on the new "over the top horror/comedy" featuring Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter. Their plot summary states, "A college guy inherits a brewery, and decides to sell it because along with the brewery, he’s inherited $100,000 of debt. So he and his friends go to clean this place up, but what they don’t know is that his supposedly long-dead ancestors have been locked away in the cellar, living off beer made out of human blood. They manage to lock the kids in the brewery, and from then on it's a chase." Two other cast members have been named: Brad Dourif (Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Child's Play 1-3) and Amanda Plummer (Freeway, Pulp Fiction, So I Married An Axe Murderer). The director of the flick will be Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist). Shooting begins in October.

Marathon - The father of pop stars Nick and Aaron Carter faces a criminal charge for allegedly shoving his wife to the ground during an argument over their separation.
Robert Carter was arrested Thursday after the fight with his wife, Jane Carter, at their Marathon home, Monroe County sheriff’s spokeswoman Becky Herrin said Monday. He faces a misdemeanor domestic battery charge, punishable by up to a year in jail, she said.
The Carters told deputies they were arguing over dividing up their personal belongings under their separation. A witness told deputies that the husband became angry when he noticed pictures of Aaron were missing.
A woman says she saw the husband chase his wife around the house, kicking down two doors that she had locked behind her. Deputies were told that Robert Carter found his wife in a shower and shoved her, causing her to fall and hit her head.

Robert Carter, father of Marathon residents Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and his brother Aaron, another pop sensation, landed in jail Thursday night on a charge of domestic battery after allegedly pushing his wife in a shower, bruising her head.
The arrest followed a heated argument over the division of property, according to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office report.
The report says that Carter, 50, and his wife went for a ride in his racing boat during the day, then had dinner at Burdine’s Waterfront at the end of 15th Street. Then they returned to their home, and he< "started yelling at everyone."
A witness statement says that when the Carters returned to their house from dinner, Robert Carter said he noticed photos of Aaron, the younger son, were missing. "He then became angry and loud," the statement says.
Robert Carter allegedly threw a coffeepot and other things at his wife, then entered a moving truck and started tossing boxes out of it.
His statement says he "got mad because [she] took things that did not belong to her. She got upset and made believe that I was beating her and calling people to be a witness to that."
However, in her statement, she said he followed her into the house and she locked herself in a bedroom and he kicked the door in. She then locked herself in a bathroom, but he kicked in that door, too, then shoved her in the shower, "causing her to fall and hit the back of her head."
Robert Carter remained jailed early Friday afternoon in lieu of $5,000 bond.

The Enquirer reports Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter has been dating former model Christy Lane for the past three months. An insider said the 33-year-old Lane "is definitely not the teenybopper type you see screaing at Nick when he's onstage." The pair reportedly met in April when they were in Miami watching a boat race. "They ended up talking and getting friendly," the source added, "and the more they got to know each other, the more the attraction grew. It eventually turned into a romance." When contacted by popdirt.com, Lane responded, "Nick and I are just really good friends. Aside from that, I have no comment," though she did take some solace in the fact that the unwanted attention didn't come about during the height of the boyband craze.

Isaiah Washington, Keith David and the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter are ready to put on a Happy Face. The trio have signed on to star for writer-director Rick Thompson in Platform Entertainment's Blood on a Happy Face, with production slated to begin August 1st in Manhattan, with filming later moving to Brooklyn.
Described as being in the vein of Reservoir Dogs, Blood stars Washington as an undercover agent who unintentionally gets mixed up in the dregs of the Brooklyn underworld. In addition, the woman he loves soon stabs him in the back as she becomes part of an elaborate scheme, set up by Carter's character Fazio, to steal a large sum of money. As the scheme unfolds, the agent must fight for his own life. David plays a gambling-addicted detective who becomes involved with a Russian mobster.
Platform's Dan Levin produces the project with Josh and Jeff Crook, Ilana Sparrow and Angela Grant. Scott Sorentino will co-produce with Larry Gabriel taking on executive producing credit.
The Innovative Artists-repped Washington was last seen on the big screen in Hollywood Homicide, while Carter, repped by the Writers & Artists Agency, recently completed his feature acting debut in Platform's Hollow. David is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and has been seen in films such as Barbershop and Agent Cody Banks.

Snow Working with Backstreet Boy Nick Carter

The rumours are true. Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is working with Toronto reggae singer Snow.
"I'm going to work with Nick," Snow told andPOP. "We're just becoming friends now. He's a good kid and I brought him to the projects here in Toronto and he chilled and he didn't have no bodyguards or none of that."
The material that they will record together could appear on either Snow's upcoming album, or Carter's second solo album.
"We'll just go in [the studio] and feel it and vibe it and if everything comes nice, everything comes nice," said Snow, who is most famous for his hit song, "Informer." "I just feel like music is music and I can do all kinds of music. We'll just work, have fun."
Snow and Carter performed together on July 1 as part of a Canada Day concert at Downsview Park in Toronto, the same place where 450,000 people assembled last week for the Rolling Stones concert.
"Off my new album, his favourite song is "Missing You." He was in town and just came down here to hang out. So I was like, 'Nick, you got to come on stage and sing that song with me.' He's like 'no problem'.
