It looks like the Backstreet Boys are over their legal woes with their record label. They are back in the studio recording their first new album in three years.

"All five of us went back into the studio this past February and we have been working to create what we think will be our best album yet. It has been really create being back together working on our music."

The last Backstreet Boys album was Black and Blue in 2000. After that, they found themselves in legal turmoil trying to break away from a contract that was keeping them from recording. A legal battle has been going on for some time with Backstreet Boys claiming they were exploited by their contract.

In the last round of legal action, Backstreet Boys sued their label Jive for $75 million. The alleged the label stalled song selection and allocation of a producer and simply refused their artistic requests.

At the same time, Jive was trying to launch a solo career for band member Nick Carter and used his promotional activity to delay plans for a new Backstreet Boys record.

In a statement at the time, Backstreet Boys said "We are committed to the Backstreet Boys and we will protect our group from anybody or anything that tries to break us apart. We are disappointed that our longtime label Jive Records has attempted to irresponsibly exploit our group".

Jive is also the home of Justin Timberlake, NSYNC and Britney Spears.

The album will is expected to be released mid year.

Paris Hilton added new meaning to the phrase "stuck on you" when she emerged from a ladies' room with an unwanted souvenir -- a piece of toilet paper dangling from the bottom of her miniskirt!

The embarrassing moment occurred at the EMI music company's post-Grammy bash at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, which the party queen attended with her hunk-of-themoment, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.

The couple made a point of getting noticed. "They had this big public argument early on but they made up," said an eyewitness. "Nick was so partied out by the end of the night, he literally passed out on the floor against a wall for a while."

By 2 a.m. only 10 people were left at the soiree, Nick and Paris among them.

That's when the star of "The Simple Life" and a now-famous X-rated home video visited the restroom before she and Nick stumbled off together into the night.

"She came out of the ladies' room with about eight inches of toilet paper sticking out from the bottom of her dress," said the eyewitness.

"It was really embarrassing. Some of those left at the party wanted to tell her, but everyone was getting a laugh so no one said anything."

The paper souvenir eventually dislodged on its own, according to the eyewitness, just before Nick and Paris -- both looking pretty wiped out -- left hand in hand.

At this year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, when celebrities Paris Hilton, Christina Applegate, and Taryn Manning were asked about "clubbing," instead of talking about their favorite hotspots, they spoke about baby seal clubbing—and their disapproval of it.
Before the 2002–2003 sealing season, the Canadian government announced that hunters would be allowed to kill, over the next three years, close to one million seals by clubbing or shooting them.
Without reservation, dozens of high-profile movie stars, musicians and even a few reality-TV celebrities—The Bachelor's Andrew Firestone and The Simple Life's Hilton and Nicole Richie, to be exact—supported The HSUS and the rest of the Protect Seals coalition in its efforts to stop the brutality off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. The stars even quickly agreed to sign letters of protest and pose for photographers with mittens reading SAVE SEALS.
Other notable celebrities who signed letters to the Canadian Embassy demanding an end to the hunt included Macaulay Culkin, That 70's Show star Mila Kunis, Andrew Keegan, supermodel Carmen Kass, Christina Applegate's husband Jonathan Schaech, Joseph Reitman, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Johnny Galecki, Bree Turner, Shannon Elizabeth, Nora Dunn, Scrubs star Sarah Chalke, Emily Deschanel, and Summer Altice.
All of the celebrities put their finished letters into plastic air-sick bags, which were inscribed with the phrase: "What's Going on in Canada Will Make You Sick." On March 3, during the Protect Seals Rally, copies of the signed letters were hand-delivered to the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C.

LOS ANGELES - Justin Timberlake is out, and Cedric the Entertainer is in as the new co-host of ABC's "Motown 45" special.
Cedric, the co-star of "Barbershop 2: Back in Business," will emcee the show with singer Lionel Richie .
Among the artists slated to perform in the tribute to Motown Records are the Backstreet Boys , Boyz II Men, The Commodores, The Funk Brothers, The Four Tops, Macy Gray , Gladys Knight, India.Arie, The Temptations, Vanessa Williams and original Supremes Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong.
Timberlake dropped out of the show because of a conflict with filming his first movie, "Edison," as a young journalist who discovers an elite team of corrupt police.
The recent Grammy winner had been tapped earlier this year to co-host the anniversary celebration of the legendary soul music label along with Lionel Richie.
Timberlake was engulfed in controversy for much of February after he ripped off part of Janet Jackson 's costume during the Super Bowl halftime show, revealing her breast. The choreographed stunt, which both said was not meant to include nudity, sparked a national outcry and an FCC investigation. CBS, which aired the Super Bowl, only allowed Timberlake to participate in its Grammy broadcast after he agreed to apologize on the air.
The special will tape at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on April 4 and is tentatively scheduled to air sometime in May.
