natural and doesn't wear heavy make-up. The beautiful, popular girls were rude to him, so now he looks for beauty on the inside, and not so much in looks.
But he had feelings for a girl, Bryn, who was in the same
musical as him. She had to choose between him and another guy. 'To help her deicde, when the two of them
were together backstage,
he kissed her. She chose Nick.
A fan in Germany held up a sign reading "Nick, I want to have your baby!"
He once stole all of AJ's clothes from his hotel room. The guys got back at him by throwing him out of the dressing room dressed only in underwear in front of a huge
group of fans!
Nick's family has had such a hard time with keeping fans off
the lawn and out of the garden that they finally had to resort
to putting a large fence around their property.
At Christmas, some fans came to his house. They were all dressed
up and getting ready to eat Christmas dinner. He came out and
signed a few autographs anyway. They came back the next
day to
apologize for bothering them on Christmas, but they wrote him
a letter explaining that this was their Christmas present!
He was like "Wow..."
Where Nick lives there was a guy who was selling maps to Nick's house! He would charter a bus that would go to his court and he'd get everyone out--they were getting 30 people a day at his poor
little house! They'd go up and steal flowers for souvenirs.
Some people would just take pictures of his house, but they'd end
up in some
pretty strange places. Once, during a concert, Nick
looked down in the audience and some girls had a huge poster of
his house with the words "I was there" printed on it!
The guys film their fans on a video camera to show the
enthusiasm to their parents. Nick says, "Before showing the
film to our parents, we cut out the bits where
girls throw
condoms and underwear at us on stage." However, the hysteria
around them is nothing new to Nick's parents, who have
already been on tour with him.
He first performed in his father's lounge called the "Yankee Rebel"
He hates shopping for anything with his mother.
Nick hates to call his family when he's on tour
cause the sound of their voices only makes him miss them more.
He would get in a lot of trouble with his childhood
buddy, Brent, or his sister, BJ, when he was younger.

Nick's younger brother Aaron released his own

He gets really pissed off when he loses in Basket Ball
or Nintendo. He'll lose his temper and start swearing.
He and Kevin get in the most arguments, because of their age
difference their opinions tend to differ.
He once got in a physical fight with AJ. Don't know who won though.
Nick once knocked Howie off the stage during a concert.
When he was little he would give concerts in his backyard
--with the flowers as his audience!
Nick sleeps the most on tour.
He's afraid of flying, so he...sleeps, during the flight.
Nick always leaves the hotel room the messiest.
He doesn't clean up the Nintendo after using it either.
While in Australia he started to pick up the accent and
was begining to talk like Crocodile Dundee.
Nick was offered a job at Disney World but turned it
down for the Backstreet Boys.
He's currently in the process of creating a
Backstreet Boys comic book, which is being
described as sort of Spawn-like. The guys are all
super heros and they take over the world with their music.

He likes being the youngest in the group because he seems to get all the attention, unlike at home were he's the oldest.
He was in commercials for the "Florida State
Lottery" and "The Money Store"
When he lived in Jamestown, New York, he lived on
Webber Road. Personally, I don't know why anyone
would care, but if I want
this place to be the best, I have to
include it all.
He loves the ride "Jaws" in Universal Studios but says
that he's really afraid of sharks. But he would like to go
shark diving one day.
Nick's afraid of the dark, but adds "...sometimes, if I
don't think about the room being dark and Martians in the
closet, I can go to sleep real easy. But I'll never hang
my feet off the end of the bed- I'm afraid little
gremlins will bite my toes! Really!"
He broke his arm once when he fell off his bike while
trying to show off.
Nick was made of fun a lot in school because he
was always away singing. And that's funny--why?
His new years resolution for 1998 was to eat less.
During a MuchMusic I&I the boys were all asked what kind
of underwear they were sporting at the moment. Everyone replied
"Boxers" except for Nick, who quietly responded "Briefs!"
One of the worst moments Nick has ever experienced
was the death of his dog, Booboo, during the summer of 1994.
"I went out for the day on the
boat with my family. We decided to leave Booboo at home because we
would be back in a couple of hours. But Booboo escaped from
the garden and tried to catch up with us when we were setting
off to sea. He jumped in the water and got caught up in the
propeller. He drowned. It was really sad."

So, how do you first get to talking to a girl?
I find it really tough to start talking to a stranger - cos I'm so shy. I guess I smile and say hello, maybe compliment them
on how they look. Yeah, that's a good way to start a conversastion!
Do you have any chat-up lines you always use?
No! I hate chat-up lines - they always sound so corny. I'm especially bad at them, so I steer clear!
Is there a
secret technique that works for you?
Yeah, make 'em laugh! Girls like funny men. You don't have to tell jokes, just
do stupid stuff to get a smile.
If a girl isn't interested immediately, what do you do?
I just let them know
I'm keen and give them my number if I have the guts. And you never know - they just might call you!
The Date
Where's the best place to go on a first date?
I like going ot the cinema cos there's a movie to watch if you can't think
of anythign to say. If things are going well after the cinema you can grab some food in a nice resturaunt - and you've always got
the movie to talk about if all goes quiet!
Would you bring her a gift?
Yeah, that's a good idea. Flowers would be
a cool things to give - it shows you made an effort.
How do you make a girl relax?
I'd try to be cool and funny.
I wouldn't ask lots of questions but you need to find out how much you've got in common. If you need to live it up, be spontaneous

When do you make your first move for a kiss?
I guess you konw when it's right - you
can see it in her eyes. If she's playing with her hair and being all giggly, I might for it! Ha ha!

A day or two, you need to let her work out what she thinks of you before you start
calling. You don't want to scare her off.
Do you fall in love easily?
It all depends on the girl. When you meet the
right one, it happends really quickly. But sometimes you do have to wait for the "thing" to happen to realise what your true feelings

I'm always honest. You have to be! If you really
care about someone, you want to let her know and share it with her. Don't ever be afraid to show your emotions!

bored easily and finish things or are you usually the one who's left heartbroken?
If it wasn't working out, I'd be honest.
But I've been dumped and it really hurts, so you've got to be careful. I've had my heart broken a few times but you do get over it
