Nick is moving back to Los Angeles to record the new Backstreet Boys album, his siblings are already there. After arriving at the new house with his manager, Kenneth, Nick waits for the rest of the clan. BJ, Aaron, Angel and their dogs are the first to arrive. After picking their rooms, the siblings chill outside waiting for Leslie. She arrives in a cab and can't find anyone in the house. After getting a call from Leslie - who's inside the house - BJ and the rest go in to greet her. While the girls are cooking dinner, Nick and Aaron are outside attempting to grill the steaks. At the dinner table the siblings are updated on eachother's lives. Angel is doing some modeling, Leslie is singing, BJ has a desire to go to culinary school and Aaron is producing music. Nick and Aaron have a talk about the new house, and Aaron tells Nick how much he appreciates everything he's done for them. He promises he'll listen to Nick during his stay. Nick asks BJ to stop drinking, she insists she's not even though she hasn't stopped drinking since she arrived at the house. At night, BJ runs around the house after her dog. Nick asks her to go to bed and she tells him to send everyone else to bed first, he argues she can barely stand. BJ screams drunkenly around the house while everyone is trying to sleep. Nick calls her boyfriend, West, who offers to come over. BJ accuses Angel of attacking her. Nick has a talk with BJ and asks her to stay sober. Wes arrives and Nick's clearly glad to see him. Wes takes BJ to her room and successfully calms her down. She confesses she doesn't like when Nick yells at her because it makes her feel inferior to him. Nick decides they have to do something about BJ's problem.

The kids get the news their mother, Jane, is at the hospital. While the siblings are very upset by the situation, Nick thinks it's just another lie. BJ tells him to have a heart and he defends himself telling them why he feels that way. BJ and Leslie don't want to hear it and leave. He tells BJ he can't help but not believe their parents after everything they've done. BJ thinks Nick is angry at himself for being angry with their mom in the first place. Leslie tells her boyfriend, Mike, she feels responsible for what's happening to her mom. Nick and Aaron walk the dogs. Nick asks Aaron to keep the music down at night and they peacefully reach an agreement. Nick talks to his dad about his mom's situation. BJ interrupts Nick's recording session to tell him she needs to fly out and see their mom, he tells her she has to pay for the ticket and hospital expenses herself. BJ calls him heartless for not wanting to help out. Angel is the only one who understands Nick's feelings towards their mother and tries to make BJ understand that everyone attacking him won't help. Nick says he wants to reconcile with his mom, but everytime he forgives her she stabs him in the back again. Nick calls his mother. Nick asks Aaron to turn down the music which results in a huge fight. Nick insists Aaron came at him until Aaron finally admits he did. They argue and end up apologizing to each other. Nick is mad at their mother for not even calling back after he sent her money when she was allegedly sick. He thinks she planned everything and was just after the money. No one has anything to say about that.

Nick gets mad at everyone because they don't walk the dogs and they go to the bathroom all over the house. Wes advises BJ to work on a chores schedule to stop the fighting over who does what around the house. Nick leaves Aaron in charge of the house while he's at a meeting. Nick meets with the Backstreet Boys and their management to talk about the new album. The kids throw a party. BJ talks to a friend about how she loves Wes but isn't in love with him and feels trapped in the relationship. Leslie asks Aaron if he realizes how mean he is when talking to Nick, he says he has to stand his ground around him. Nick gets home to find everyone lounging in the pool. He knows Aaron is drunk and calls him up. Aaron complains he's an adult and can make his own decisions, but Nick disagrees saying he isn't legal to be drinking yet, especially in his home. Aaron claims he never drinks. Nick asks Aaron to be smarter about his choices because the fact he's drinking in the afternoon scares him. Aaron says he knows his limits. Nick complains Aaron's friends don't do anything with their lives, except come by the house to hang out like it's a hotel and it has to stop. Aaron understands Nick's point of view, they hug, make up and head out for some grocery shopping. Aaron throws up on the way home from the grocery store, Nick isn't a bit sympathetic towards him. Aaron swears he's never drinking again. Nick is excited to teach Aaron how to do laundry. BJ asks Leslie how to tell her boyfriend she isn't attracted to him anymore, Leslie advises her to just tell him to leave. BJ is rude towards Wes when he offers help to clean up the kitchen and yells for him to leave. He tells her he's done nothing wrong and he's always there for her, she screams she doesn't like him. They argue and BJ tells him not to go back there anymore. BJ talks to Nick about Wes, and how she tried to be in love with him but couldn't. He tells her she shouldn't feel guilty for that. Nick is afraid of leaving BJ by herself and calls Wes and asks him to come over. BJ and Wes have a honest conversation about their relationship. He gives BJ the space she needs to sort her feelings out. Aaron apologises for sometimes not listening to Nick and hopes he knows he loves him and is happy to be there.

Nick and Aaron are running late for a meeting. Nick complains because Aaron isn't ready yet and feels offended by the way Aaron dismisses him. Aaron asks why Nick acts like he hates everyone. Nick says he is just looking out for Aaron's future and asks him to give him a break. Nick and Aaron discuss a name for their new record label, Nick loves "Carter Brothers", Aaron hates it. Aaron expresses his worries of how his past will affect his image in the business. Kenneth tells him he shouldn't rap in the new album. Angel attends a photoshoot. Nick makes fun of Aaron's ghetto ways. Nick gives Aaron pointers on singing, Aaron does the same to Leslie. Nick meets with his friend Chef J and BJ shows interest in working at his restaurant. Nick describes Aaron's beats as "wack". Aaron complains when Nick tells him to start picking up after himself. Angel is interviewed at a modeling agency, they like what they see and ask her to come back. BJ arrives late on her first day of work at Chef J's restaurant, he says he'd fire her for that if she wasn't Nick's sister. Leslie and Mike visit BJ at her new job. Nick agrees to listen to Aaron's beats and tells him to start writing the music and produce it in his studio. Nick and Aaron meet with Johnny Wright and Kenneth to discuss Aaron's career and their new music label. BJ cooks dinner for the family and Nick acknowledges the progress they've made in the past few weeks. Nick is pleased after a recording session with Aaron.

Leslie is offended when BJ and Angel make fun of her weight. Nick praises Leslie's song writing skills but tells her she needs work on her vocals. Nick, Leslie and Aaron discuss what she can do to improve her singing. The kids go bowling. Leslie is mad at BJ and Angel and wants to leave, Mike convinces her to stay. Leslie doesn't like it when Angel pets her head and ends up running after her around the kitchen, hurting BJ in the process. BJ and Angel decide to prank Leslie by collecting the dog poop outside and leaving them in her room, but they encounter a problem when Leslie doesn't seem to be leaving the bedroom anytime soon. They fake something is leaking out of her car and when she leaves Angel places the poop by her bed. Leslie finds the poop bag and scatters it on BJ's bed. Leslie and the band work with a vocal coach. Nick criticizes Leslie for never wanting to do anything with the family. Angel tries to talk to Leslie, but it doesn't go over too well. She's confronted by the family during dinner; they feel she thinks she's better than everyone else. Nick and Leslie scream at each other and he says she just want people to feel sorry for her. She tells him to take as a hint when she says she hates them. Nick apologizes for not communicating properly with her. Leslie confesses she feels left out. Leslie's band performs at The Cat Club.

Nick brings up the idea of a family vacation at the beach, everyone agrees and plans are made. Nick, Aaron, Leslie and Mike go to the surf shop. Nick rents a RV and drives the family to San Diego. They head to the beach as soon as they arrive. Aaron meets a couple of fans while Nick and the girls play in the sand. They sit on the sand and watch Aaron surf, and fall off the board. They call him over and see a bruise in his chest. Aaron starts throwing up and is taken to the hospital. The doctor explains when the surfboard hit Aaron's chest it hit his liver, causing internal bleeding. The girls go to a hotel while Nick stays at the hospital with Aaron. Aaron's latest diagnosis concludes his liver is only bruised now. Their father wants to come out and see him. Aaron is released from the hospital and complains there's nothing for him to do at the hotel while everyone is at the beach having fun. He decides to go back to Los Angeles. Aaron and the girls argue over dinner when they try to explain to him he can't be alone so soon after the accident. Nick tries to keep his cool but loses it when Aaron acts like he knows best and doesn't need any of them. Aaron sees how worried Nick really is about his health and they end up going back to the hotel. The siblings spend the night talking in bed. Nick and Aaron end up arguing good-naturedly about who can correctly pronounce the word "five" in German. Who won?

Episode 7 starts off with Leslie, so mad at Aaron because of not appreciating all things she did to fix his room when Aaron requested to fix it. Nick is trying to tell her if she had some issues she can discuss with the Psychiatrist. Nick invited Dr. Linda, Carter's house psychiatrist. All of them spill the beans. Nick said he didnt enjoy being a tennager because at a very young age he was the PROVIDER of the family. Aaron feels responsible for teh divorce. BJ became alcoholic and nag all people around because of the divorce. Angel felt BJ is saying her real feelings when she's drunk. Leslie discusses her sensitive feeling about everybody else and the fact that each of them didnt understand her at all. Nick went out to party at a nearby club with his friends including Chris. He hooks up a chick at a bar and asked her to hang out with him that night.BJ early in the morning pissed off because of Aaron's Dog (Jada) who messes around the living room. Dad Bob and Mom Ginger arrived. BJ cried while cleaning the poop and gets into Aaron's room to say that he must keep his dog on his room. BJ opened the door and welcome his dad with a big hug, also Ginger. Bob tells BJ that he was down with one dog, all of his dogs was eaten by the allegator. BJ surprisingly chuckle. Bob visited Aaron's sleepy head and talks about how was he feelin' after the accident. Aaron calls up Ginger and Ginger came in hug Aaron and kissed him. Leslie arrived and not feelin' well when BJ came up to say their Dad was there already. Lelsie refuses to go over and hug Bob. BJ drag Leslie and Bob gave him a kiss and a hug, Leslie just smirk and pretending she likes to be hugged by her dad. Bob compliment her music and that he loves her so much. Leslie's in tears. BJ starts a Mom conversation and Bob pissed off saying He didnt love their mom anymore. Leslie dials her mom's no. and ask her to call her up cuz she wasn't feelin' well. Bob still not feeling good of the rumos flyin' around that Jane (Biological Mom) was trying so hard to make their children feel guilty of the situation, Bob discusses this with Aaron outside the balcony. All of them are trying to call Nick and Chris. Chris finally answers the phone and said he hooked up a chick and he didnt know when Nick wanted to go home yet. Leslie leave a phone message saying He gotta be home soon. Leslie said she doesnt hate step Mom Ginger, she just don't know what to do. Bob hugged her from behind and said she loves her. Leslie discusses her feelings but BOb said she gotta stop that. Leslie said she misses her dad. Angel and Ginger is making a bacon wrap. Nick finally came back and greeted his dad with "what's up old man". All of them shouted at him "NIIIIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKK". Mike came into picture and Leslie introduces him. Bob hugged him and said he looks like a baby, but Leslie interrupted and said He was older than me. Bob agrees cuz Ginger was 22 years younger than him. Leslie will practice in the studio so she can't join the lunch. Aaron calls his dad to the table and Bob start off his thank you message. Nick gave his thank you message too. Angel teases Nick telling Dad Bob that he was just like him saying his lil introduction before eating. Everybody Laughs.
