My oh my. I was truely blown away by Saturday's show. For once in my life, I was actually early and didn't miss a second... Although I wish I had. The opening act was nothing but boredom and annoyance.
The first act was V.I.3(?) - 3 ugly white boys from Chicago who thought they could rap. Mixed in with the horrid speaking in rhyme was the occassional singing. The only line I made out of any of it was "It breaks my heart to see you wrapped up in 69." Which made absolutely no sense, so I must have mishead amongst all the scraming, ugliness, and suckiness. Anyway, my point is, they sucked.
Second act was Sisqo. I had to watch most of it on the screens, since everyone was standing and I refused to waste precious leg strength for somebody I didn't come to see. I didn't miss much anyway. The guy makes everything he does look like he's having a seizure,,, except moon walking. Boy can he ever moon walk!
There was a long long wait. And all the while, the damn girl a few rows back screamed like a maniac every time N Sync came up on the screen. She was in section 101, wore a leopard cowboy hat, and had a painted on goatee. If she's reading this, I want her to e-mail me now, so I can come over and KICK HER ASS!! It's people like you that ruin good shows for the rest of us!
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity and a half, the show began. Flames were a flying, and the end of the world seem to happening right on the stage. The the Boys appeared out of nowhere in a puff of smoke.
What followed was 2 hours of them cracking jokes, them disappering and appearing out of the floor, and millions of songs. The combined alot of the older ones together. Like the first half of Larger Than Life and then the first half of another song. They sang a stirring rendition of America The Beautiful, which showcased their great voices. AJ's being the best of course. His voice seems to gain strength every day.
Speaking of AJ, he had to thank us for this was his 80th day of sobriety.
