About Mai
- Name: Mai Dang
- Date of Birth: 14th July 1990
- Job on site: Co-webmistress since 2007
- Country: The United States. I live up near Seattle.
- Became a BSB fan in: Summer of 2006. Pretty late huh?
- Favourite BSB: Howie 'Latin Lover' Dorough. His big brown Spanish Eyes are telling me that I'm about to win first prize, yo!
- BSB merchandise: CDs: A very battered copy of Backstreet's Back (I found it in a used bookstore), Black and Blue, Never Gone (dual-disc), Unbreakable (deluxe), and This is Us (deluxe). I also have a very treasured and glossy Unbreakable concert program.
- BSB Encounters? I went to the Unbreakable Concert on September 9th, 2008 at Marymoor Park! It was just too surreal. Also my friend got to touch Aaron Carter's hand! I realize that is not quite the same as touching an actual BSB's hand, but if you think about it, Aaron has probably touched one of the BSBs some time in his life. And I've touched my friend's hand. So by hypothetical syllogism (i.e. putting my education in discrete mathematics to use), I TOUCHED THE BACKSTREET BOYS.
- Favourite Singers: ABBA, Ace of Base, Mariah Carey, Kylie Minogue, Lady GaGa, Rachael Yamagata, Coldplay, Jason Mraz. Anything that's catchy with a good beat.
- Favourite Movies: Old Disney movies (emphasis on the old). The new ones I like are the ones made by Pixar. I also like the 2009 Star Trek film, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Last King of Scotland, Shaolin Soccer, The Sound of Music, The Ten Commandments, Pride and Prejudice (the one with Matthew Macfadyen), Slumdog Millionaire, and the sixth Harry Potter.
- Favourite Actors: Johnny Depp (I wonder if there's a role out there that he can't morph perfectly into?) and James McAvoy (because he's one flamin' hot Scot). I like Natalie Portman too, because she's smart and pretty.
- Other sites: I used to host a World History AP site, but Geocities is dumping that. I have a student page on my University's server, but it's just a rick roll for now. Knock yourself out though.
- Things I Like To Do: I like reading, drawing, and playing Oregon Trail or Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? on the computer (they're sort of old games and they literally shake up the computer so I don't play that often), surfin' the net and watching TV (I watch more TV than I'm willing to admit). I'm a computer science major and I like web programming a lot. Ooh yeah, and I like watching clips of BSB on YouTube. It's very important that I make up for all the years I missed out on!
